Katelyn Schmitt Kemper LCSW, CADC

Co-Owner/Psychotherapist

Katelyn earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

After over 10 years in the field, Katelyn has honed her passion for supporting individuals as they explore their relationship with substances. Katelyn believes in a comprehensive approach to therapy. She helps clients manage anxiety and depression, navigate relationships and build self-confidence and self-worth to create lasting change, specifically related to substance use.

Whether interested in moderation management or abstinence, Katelyn assists clients in uncovering what is driving their substance use. Katelyn helps clients feel empowered to examine old patterns of behavior, set boundaries with themselves and others, learn to regulate emotions and identify and live within their values.

“I believe the best therapy stems from a collaborative approach between the therapist and client. By being present and engaged in the relationship, we will build a foundation of trust that allows you to feel safe to tell your story. I know you are your own expert and together we will lay the path to unlock that expertise.

My style as a therapist is using warmth, empathy and humor while being direct and holding my clients accountable to the changes they need to make to achieve their goals. I look forward to meeting you and starting on a path toward healing and change.”
